Assembler (click to view)

Job Description
The Assembler is responsible for cutting, buffing, polishing, and brazing tubing, as well as sandblasting and bending tubing for our products.

Department: Assembly Room

Reports To: Assembly Supervisor

Essential Job Functions:

  • Cutting tubing
  • Buffing and polishing tubing
  • Sandblasting tubing
  • May be involved in bending tubing
  • May be involved in press and/or machine operation
  • May be involved in braising tubing
  • Show competence in the use of the specified equipment or machinery as signed off on training reports.
  • Possesses good visual quality judgment (for squareness of cut, burrs, and finish)

Department: Swiss CNC Department

Reports To: Grinding / Swiss CNC Supervisor

  • Measures parts using basic measuring devices (micrometers, calipers, and comparators)
  • Performs daily maintenance
  • Performs in process checks and adjustments
  • Show competence in the use of the specified equipment or machinery as signed off on training reports.
  • Possesses good visual quality judgment (for in-process inspection)
  • Makes offset adjustments
  • Loads and unloads parts or material
  • Work in a team-oriented environment

Skills and Abilities Required:

  • Effectively interact and communicate between departments and across various levels of management and employees
  • Reliable and consistent attendance

  • The ability to read and follow a drawing with general and geometric dimensioning and tolerances

A Quality Control Inspector visually inspects manufactured products for adherence to blueprint specifications for correctness in design and quality; identifying and rejecting products for any physical and/or cosmetic defects and conditions.

Department: Quality Control

Reports To: Quality Control Manager

Essential Job Functions:

  • Performs visual inspection for physical and/or cosmetic defects and conditions
  • Uses basic inspection equipment including calipers, micrometers, pin gauges, and ring/thread gauges
  • Reviews drawings / blueprints and process sheets
  • Measuring abilities with the Starrett Vision System and run pre-written programs
  • May need advanced knowledge and ability with the Starrett Vision System
  • Close tolerance inspections
  • Understand and complete inspection records
  • Follows passivation procedure
  • Show competence in the use of equipment or machinery as signed off on training reports

Skills and Abilities Required:
